This medicine is used for deep vein thrombosis (blood clot in veins), Pulmonary embolism (moving blood clot) and Unstable angina (chest pain).

Side Effects

The most common side effects are bleeding complications, transient alopecia (temporary loss of hair), localized reaction at injection site.



Research suggests that this medicine should be avoided by pregnant women.

It is suggested to administer with caution in elderly and thrombocytopenia (low platelet count). Not to be used via intra muscular route and cancer patients.


It is not recommended in deficiency of coagulation (clotting) factors, severe hepatic (liver), renal (kidney) or pancreatic impairment.
